Coming from a background in ballet and contemporary dance, Tara has always been highly active. Taking a break from dance she started working in the City (namely a desk job) where she started experiencing the common shoulder and back pain issues that start with a sedentary lifestyle. She booked herself some personal training sessions to learn about weight training and that started her fitness career 14 years ago. After having experienced a knee injury through running she sought help from doctors and physios, tried treatments such as shockwave, acupuncture and laser therapy, but still remained in pain. She was doing her rehab homework so why was the pain still there?
This led her and Greg to delve further into further education - exercise mechanics, machine mechanics and the design and application of both for exercise rehabilitation and building strength. Fast forward to 2019, they opened Strength House and have spent the last few years working with clients to help them resolve their pain and gain strength. The fitness industry is rife with diet trends and fads - Tara is also a qualified nutritionist and loves to help people build realistic healthy habits reflective of clients own personal lifestyle and health goals.
